All Things Bloggy: Tutorials

Do you feel like your blog has become cluttered and/or messy?  If so, you might want to consider implementing some or all of the tutorials in this post to help give your blog a more clean and organized look.

Do you have several labels in your sidebar that you feel are taking up too much space?  If so, this first tutorial that Chareen of Every Bed of Roses has shared with me is to make a drop down label widget.

You will notice in my left sidebar that I now have a drop down menu for my Labels by following this simple tutorial!

Also from Chareen I have a tutorial to make a tabbed widget.  Can I say that I LOVE this idea?!  I haven't had the chance yet to try this tutorial yet, but I plan to just as soon as possible.  Here's a preview of Chareen's tabbed widget below, or you can also see the live version on the top right hand corner of her blog.

Have you noticed the scroll box in the bottom right hand corner of my blog that says "So Dear to My Heart"?  That tutorial can be found here at Under the Golden Apple Tree {also a space saver}.

Want to do expandable posts in blogger making more room for your posts on the main page, thus allowing your readers to view more post titles at once {like I did on this particular post}?  Check out this tutorial from Makin' Cute Blogs.

For additional tutorials I recommend: Makin' Cute Blogs, Blogger Central, Babbling Brooke Tutorials, WordPress Tutorials, and Simple Blogger Tutorials .

What are some of your favorite blog tutorials or websites?

I love BloggingWithAmy.com for all things blog related, though she does focus more on Wordpress blogs!

This post is terrific. I am not very computer literate so it takes me far too much time to do simple things. It goes much faster when I enlist the help of my husband, but since I try to get all my computer stuff done while he is working, that doesn't happen too often. These little tutorials are wonderful! Thank you!

{And I also utilize Blogging with Amy. She's a gem!}

Love this, Heather! I was honestly just going to ask you about how to make a scroll box, so I'm glad I read your post!

I second (or, uh, third) Blogging with Amy :)

I love Blogging With Amy, as well. I definitely need tutorials! I'm super visual, which means I have to SEE it to be able to DO it! ;)

This series has been great, Heather. Thank you so much for sharing your tips with us!
